Changes to Payment Services

PERSON-TO-PERSON (P2P) PAYMENTS:
Our Popmoney® personal payment service partner has decided to discontinue the Popmoney service, effective June 30, 2023. As a result, Popmoney will no longer be available to members of Downeast Credit Union as of June 25, 2023 at 4 p.m. ET.

What you need to know about Popmoney Person-2-Person Payments:
• Payments created on June 25th up until 4 p.m. ET will be processed. No new transactions will be processed after 4 p.m. ET on June 25th.
• You are responsible for canceling recurring or future-dated payments that are scheduled for delivery after June 25th. No recurring or future-dated payments will be processed after June 25th.
• Transactions initiated before 4 p.m. ET on June 25th will be processed. Recipients who are registered Popmoney users will receive payment automatically. If the recipient is not a registered Popmoney user, they will get notification through email or text messages with instructions on how to accept the payment. If the payment is not accepted after 10 days, funds will be returned to the Sender.
• If you are the recipient of any pending Popmoney payments, please accept or cancel the payments by 4 p.m. ET on June 25th. Canceling the payment will result in the funds being returned to the sender.
• While you will no longer have access to Popmoney, you may review your Popmoney transactional activity in your bank statement.

Downeast Credit Union is pleased to let you know that we will be replacing the Popmoney product with a new person-to-person payment option that offers real-time, secure payments through a new vendor called Payrailz. Stay tuned for more information as we make the switch to this enhanced product offering!

 

ACCOUNT-TO-ACCOUNT (A2A) PAYMENTS:

Our TransferNow account-to-account payment service will be moving to a new vendor called Payrailz effective June 26, 2023. As a result, TransferNow will no longer be available to members of Downeast Credit Union as of June 25, 2023at 4 p.m. ET.

What you need to know about TransferNow Account-2-Account Payments:
• Transfers created on June 25 up until 4 p.m. ET will be processed. No new transactions will be processed after 4 p.m. ET on June 25.
• You are responsible for canceling recurring or future-dated transfers that are scheduled for delivery after June 25. No recurring or future-dated transfers will be processed after June 25.
• While you will no longer have access to TransferNow, you may review your TransferNow transactional activity in your bank statement.
